A menu on most Sony Ericsson phones that lets you check your firmware version & weather or not your phone is unlocked. This menu can be extremely handy & has quite a few features. (I would strongly advise not making any changes in the service menu! For eg. Don't change the contrast under "Service settings")
To access the service menu you have to use the following key sequence -> = Move Joystick Right <- = Move Joystick Left * = Press The Star Button From the standby screen press ->,*,<-,<-.*,<-,*
Which roughly equals: Right, Star, Left, Left, Star, Left, Star This brings you to the service menu to check your firmware version select "Service info" then "SW Information" To check if your phone is unlocked select "SIMlock" from the "Service info" menu. If your phone is unlocked the images of the padlocks will be unlocked if it is locked the images of the padlocks will be locked. The number next to each padlock just displays how many more times you have left to enter an unlock code.
*Please Note: I have only personally tested this on my Sony Ericsson T610. Other phone "Service" menus may/could be totally different! Use all tips at your own risk!

Remove Operator Logo (Nokia)
How to remove the Operator Logo on most Nokia phones
1) Open a WAP/GPRS Connection
2) Go to this address http://www.jhonny.org/wap/kuvat/blank.nol
3) Download/Install the file (This is a blank transparent operator logo!)
4) Your phone should say something along the lines of "Operator Logo Received"
5) Then just simply save the file to your phone 6) Check to see if your operator logo has disappeared (Tested on my old Nokia 6610!) Or (Though I have never tested it this way!) You could download the file on your computer & transfer it via Bluetooth (Am going to try this on my Dads Nokia soon)
